What is the “罗”?
Japanese kanji character for silk is 羅.The Mandarin is 罗. Four tones and pinyin are Luó. “羅” of “羅生門”is famous as a Japanese kanji. It is the subject of Ryunosuke Akutagawa, Akira Kurosawa, and Osamu Dazai. “羅” refers to thin and coarse silk fabrics, but “罗” has more meanings. It has the meaning of a net that catches birds, catches with a net, contains, sieve, and line up. It also means thin silk, but it is not often used to mean coarse silk fabric. Also, in Chinese, we use phonetic phonetic equivalents, that is, “ロ” in “ラリルレロ”. Let’s take a look at an example sentence with “罗”.
