Hello, I’m Jack. Today I would like to introduce you to “杂技”.

I’m kind of Chinese acrobatics.
What is “杂×”?
“杂” (Zá) means mixed, not primary. “雑” has the meaning of sloppy, crude. In Japanese, it is also known as miscellaneous work, and weeds, but in Mandarin, it is used for 复杂, 杂志, and 杂交. “複雑” makes a little sense to think that complexity does not derive from “squishy”, but is composed of “mixed”.
杂技 (Zá zhì), translated as “acrobatics”, is a popular Chinese acrobatic show.
The circus is “马戏团”.
杂技 (Zá zhì) is one of the few words that focuses on human movement, so I personally think it’s unique.
Summary
・”杂”means mixed,not main.
・”雑” means sloppy, crude.
・”杂技 (Zá zhì) “is unique among “杂×”, which is often used with things.
