
Hello, I’m Jack. Today I would like to introduce you to “封闭”.

“封建” is a similar Chinese character in Japanese and Mandarin Chinese, but “封闭” is unique.
What is “封×”?
“封”(Fēng) has the meaning of piled earth to demarcate, grant land or title, seal, limit, quantifier of letter or seal, surname. “封建”, “封爵”,”封君” , and “封土”are easy to translate into Japanese, centering on feudalism.
“封闭” (Fēng bì) has two meanings: blockage, closure and sealing.” 封锁” does not have the meaning of sealing, but has the same meaning as Japanese kanji. So when you close a can, you will use “封闭”.
“封子” translates as a gift envelope,”封网” translates to block (with volleyball), and “封山” translates to closing the mountain and making the mountain road impassable. They may also be unique.
